



So what does CRUN do?
* Co-ordinate and strengthen the work of community and voluntary groups in the Borough of Coleraine through co-operative action and partnership working
* Ensure the provision of social services, educational and recreational facilities and practical assistance for the people of the Borough
* Provide practical, timely development support on demand to any community and voluntary group based in the Borough
* Provide relevant, accessible information and training to member groups, and others as appropriate, to aid the advancement of their work and community
* Offer community development training and related skills based courses for e.g. management committees etc
* Promote the value of community development and voluntary activity through networking and public relations
* Work in partnership with the Northern Health Trust to provide high quality training for professionals and practitioners in the fields of drugs and alcohol and associated areas. This ensures that practitioners in the Northern Trust area - e.g. the PSNI, PBNI, Youth Justice Agency, NEELB staff, Health & Social care practitioners, Youth Workers and Community activists - are skilled up to help individuals, and our communities effectively deal with drug and alcohol issues from the ground up in the Causeway area and beyond
* Develop and deliver drug and alcohol training and eductaion programmes, under the LEAD Project, to communities across the Northern Health Trust area
* Provide specific programmes for those most at risk around drug and alcohol related problems across the Causeway area
