Community Mental Health Small Grants Scheme
Coleraine Rural & Urban Network has been successful in securing funding from the Northern Health and Social Services Board through Investing for Health to enable communities to target promoting of mental health strategies. This is part of a regional strategy promoting mental health and suicide prevention in the Northern Health Board area. There is a small amount of funding available to community groups who can demonstrate programmes to raise awareness of health and suicide related issues in the wider community. As there is only a small amount of money available each project will be judged on merit and ability to address mental health and suicide prevention measures.
Who Can Apply?
Any constituted group in the Coleraine District Council area who can demonstrate an effective project or programme that addresses the promotion of Mental Health and well-being and suicide prevention.
For example: this could be a training session aimed at engaging all sectors of the community and targeting mental health/wellbeing through contact/networking/building skills or self esteem etc. Or it could be an awareness raising session, a support group or an education evening.
What is Available?
It is anticipated that average grants will be between £200 and £300.
