Our History
CRUN was established in September 1999 with the aim of enabling regeneration and encouraging sustainability within the local communities.
CRUN has been based in several locations around the Coleraine area and its current offices are centred right at the heart of Coleraine, at 1A Railway Road.
The network has worked tirelessly since it was established and has a database of over 120 groups who avail of our services, and more are coming on board on a weekly basis.
Many changes have taken place over the years, CRUN currently has 9 members of staff and is funded by Department of Social Development (Community Investment Fund), Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, Northern Health & Social Services Board and Coleraine Borough Council.
In addition to the Community Development training on offer CRUN is now the largest provider of drug and alcohol eduaction, prevention and training services in the Northern Board area. All of the training we provide, to individuals, groups, communities and professionals is based on a sound community development approach - meaning whatever we do we have communities as our focus.
