Life Matters

This innovative 8 session programme is an early intervention programme designed to work with young people aged 11 - 17 who are engaged in risky behaviours relating to drug or alcohol use/misuse.

The programme looks at the core lifeskills needed to make effective, healthy decisions and builds on the young perosns skills, knowledge and self esteem to enable them to look at their life choices, and change attitudes and behaviour (where they want to).

It looks at self and identity issues, reasons around the young persons drug use and their engagement in risky behaviours and investigates appropriate coping strategies


The programme is delivered to small, age appropriate, groups of young people who have been reffered onto the programme, or who have opted in through self referral.

Referral can come via parents, teachers, other agencies engaged with the young person or from the young person themselves.
